Podcast FAQ

Questions about podcast production or hosted guest interviews? Find the answers below, then compare plans or get in touch.

How can I use my podcast to build business relationships?

Start with the people you want to know better: prospects, referral partners, clients, and industry peers. Invite them to a useful conversation, listen carefully, and give them a finished episode they can share. Follow up with the ideas, introductions, or next steps you discussed.

DFY Podcast handles the production and promotional content so you can spend more time preparing for guests and staying in touch after the interview. The relationships grow through your conversations and follow-up.

What is included in podcast production?

Every production plan includes professional audio editing and sound enhancement; your intro, outro, music and sponsorship insertion; SEO show notes with timestamps and links; transcription; and publishing to your podcast platforms and website. Each episode also includes two short-form video clips, three shareable quote graphics, a promotional email and tweets. Podcast setup, cover artwork and intro music are included if needed.

Can you set up a new podcast or work with my existing show?

Yes. New and existing podcasts are supported. Podcast setup, cover artwork and intro music are included if needed. If you already have a podcast, provide the login details, access or publishing instructions needed to continue your show.

What happens in the first seven days?

Our first seven days focus on onboarding and getting your initial episode underway. We confirm your podcast's style, gather your recording and any existing artwork or intro/outro assets, and arrange access to the accounts needed for your publishing plan, including agreed social channels. We also establish the handoff and feedback process in Slack.

This setup stage is separate from the regular 48-hour production turnaround per episode. Getting us the recording, instructions, and required account access promptly helps onboarding move forward.

How do we communicate with the production team?

We use a dedicated Slack channel with you, Robert, and the production team. It keeps recordings, editing instructions, questions, feedback, and publishing updates together. If Slack is new to you, we will help you get started.

What recording formats can I send?

You can send recordings from Zoom, Riverside or SquadCast, smartphone recordings, raw audio or a YouTube link. We handle the editing and production from there.

How do I send recordings, and what should I include?

Share a Google Drive, Dropbox, or SharePoint folder or link our team can access. Include the raw audio or video, guest names and links, your requested publishing date, editing notes, and any sponsor messages or brand assets we should use. We confirm the publishing destinations and account access during onboarding.

What if I already have an editor, studio, or social media team?

We can coordinate with your existing team. During onboarding, we agree who handles each step, how files move between us, and which channels our team will publish to. You can keep your current podcast host and accounts while we establish a clear production handoff.

Can I review episodes and promotional assets before they go live?

Yes. Tell us during onboarding what you want to review, such as edited episodes, show notes, clips, or graphics. We agree the approval steps in Slack and use the first episodes to learn your preferences. Publishing dates depend on receiving your feedback and approval in time.

How many episodes can you produce each month?

Starter includes up to eight episodes each month for $500. Growth is $800 per month and Authority is $1,000 per month; both include unlimited episodes. We produce one episode at a time, with a 48-hour turnaround per episode.

Can I batch record or repurpose existing content?

Yes. You can send a batch of recordings or existing interviews and webinars for production into podcast episodes and promotional content. Starter includes up to eight produced episodes per month; Growth and Authority include unlimited production, processed one episode at a time.

The 48-hour turnaround applies to each production episode, rather than the entire batch.

How quickly are episodes produced?

Once onboarding is complete and we have the recording, instructions, and access needed, the production turnaround is 48 hours per episode. We produce one episode at a time, so multiple recordings move through the workflow in sequence. Time spent waiting for your feedback or account access can affect the release schedule.

Can you publish to my podcast, YouTube and website?

Yes, as long as we have the proper access or publishing instructions. We can post to your podcast feed, YouTube channel, website and other platforms as part of the production workflow.

Is there a long-term contract?

The monthly production plans have no long-term contracts, and you can cancel anytime. Your plan rebills on the same day each month. Hosted Guest Episodes are available as a single episode or a block of ten.

Are There Episode-Length or Revision Limits?

There are no fixed episode-length or revision limits. During onboarding, we agree on your editing preferences and review steps in Slack.

How are hosted interviews different from monthly podcast production?

With monthly podcast production, you record the conversation and our team handles editing, episode content, and publishing. With Hosted Podcast Interviews, Robert leads the conversation under your podcast brand. You invite and provide the guests, Robert hosts the interview, and our team produces the episode.

Do I have to attend a hosted guest interview?

No. You can be there if you want, but you do not have to be. Robert can host the conversation on behalf of your brand, including welcoming the guest, introducing them, guiding the interview and recording the episode.

Who provides or finds the guests?

For Hosted Guest Episodes, you provide the guest names and contact details or send guests the booking link. Guest sourcing is not included in that service. The separate Authority production plan includes guest management and outreach to help you appear on other podcasts.

Can I provide questions or guest talking points?

Yes. You can provide specific questions, topics, guest talking points or a general direction. Guests can share their bio, links, topics and talking points through the booking form. If you do not provide questions, Robert can guide the conversation naturally.

Can I try a single hosted episode?

Yes. Try Me Out With One Episode is $250. If you would like a block of interviews, Get 10 Hosted Episodes is $2,000. Both options include hosting, recording, editing and production.
